Description

Hello,

I'm facing an annoying display bug in classic client 3.2.4 (I don't think I had it in 3.2) under Windows 10 :

In fullscreen or maximised window, the whole window is blinking each time I clic a menu item or some elements.

If I reduce the window it works correctly, even if I make manually the window larger (without maximising it completely).

Cheers !

  • Category set to gtk4-client

By "classic" client you mean gtk4-client? At least #2060 is a gtk4-client bug (not present in older gtk3.22-client).

While I've not heard about this exact problem before, there are other reports about gtk4 not working properly on Windows 10. The workaround is to use gtk3.22-client. In freeciv-3.2, gtk4-client still provides almost nothing that isn't provided also by the gtk3.22-client. In freeciv-3.3 things will change a bit, as gtk4-client will get some animation support that gtk3.22-client won't.

Yes, this is with the latest gtk4 client. I'll try with 3.2.4-gtk3.22.

I remember I also had #2060 with a precedent release however I forgot the exact version for both freeciv (must be 3.2+) and gtk version.
